About Me:

<beginning>
cologne, germany.
the strongest impression when i was young, was: people were not who they seemed to be.i watched them from behind the bushes in the garden conversing on our big terrace at parties and i saw to my amazement that they were different then when i was close to them. i must have been able to see thou the cultured veils that we wear when i was not actually engaging with people, when i just had the time and stillness to watch and listen. i wondered from early on: who are people really?

<next>
when i was in my finals in high school i started painting, i had an epiphany while opening a tube of ultramarine blue, i knew i had done painting before and i knew i would always know how to paint anything. i produced so much art in a very short time that my teacher and parents weren't sure anymore what i should do after high school. but since neither my father nor my mother had a strong opinions about my career or me getting married, i thought it would be good to study the liberal arts and paint. i left cologne, went to munich,  enrolled in courses in german, foreign politics, journalism, while painting at night.

<another step>
my parents died when i was in my early 20ties, both still in their prime. this event made me question everyting i did. i abandon all academic studies, devoting myself solely to painting, joined the art school in cologne after having moved back there.
i realized thou that even art didn't free me from the social and personal conditioning that restricted my life and limited all my relationships; and one morning i knew i needed a spiritual teacher.

<another step>
that teacher was to be Baghwan Shree Rajneesh and pretty swiftly after hearing about him, i moved to the states to partake in an experiment on the west coast, oregon, to build an enlightened city. the project died in corruption and i landed in mill valley, ca, a lovely place, but lost in terms of goals and purpose, what was the next step?

<arriving>
in 1989 i met andrew cohen, an american teacher from queens, ny and within 3 days i knew what he was teaching was the ticket to the future. he thought enlightenment, but something in his approach was new: he wanted his students to take responsibility for their own experience. when i heard this :: i knew this is the next step. i joint the group of students around him and the real journey began.

everything else will be in this blog sooner or later.
!! thank you for listening !!
